Former Saint, Chargers Star Muncie Dies

The New Orleans Saints say Chuck Muncie, a Pro Bowl running back with both the Saints and San Diego Chargers, has died at age 60. Muncie was the Saints first-round pick, third overall, out of California in 1976. He played four-and-a-half seasons in New Orleans before being traded in 1980 to San Diego, where he finished his nine-year NFL career.Read More »

Former NFL Commissioner Overturns Bountygate Suspension

Tagliabue, however, found that the players' conduct was detrimental to the league. Isaac Forcing Saints To Change Plans

The New Orleans Saints have changed their practice schedule and travel plans with Tropical Storm Isaac heading for the Gulf Coast.

Interim coach Joe Vitt canceled practice and meetings on Monday to allow players to evacuate their families. The Saints also called the Cincinnati Bengals and got approval to use their Paul Brown Stadium facilities this week.
