Death of Table Rock Woman "Suspicious"

Police in Medford are investigating the death of a 31-year-old woman who was found in her apartment in the 2300 block of Table Rock Road.
     According to a police release, the Jackson County Medical
Examiner's Office ruled that Maria Victoria McDonald died of

Medford Woman Jailed In Car Ramming Incident

A Medford woman is being charged with assault, drunk driving, reckless endangering and criminal mischief for a Monday night incident outside Howiee’s in downtown Medford. Police say 41-year old Jacole Jennifer Calhoun rammed her ex-boyfriend’s car three times, injuring the man, and doing damage to both cars. The victim sustained minor injuries, but did not seek medical treatment.Read More »

Pear Blossom Related Road Closures

Pear Blossom festivities will affect traffic in the downtown Medford area over the course of Friday and Saturday. Through 7 p.m. tonight, Main Street will be closed from Riverside to Central Avenue, Bartlett Street will be closed from Middleford Alley to 8th Street, and the public parking lot between Riverside Avenue and Bartlett, north of 8th.Read More »

Fire Sprinkler Goes Off At RVMC

A fire sprinkler went off in the mental health unit at Rogue Valley Medical Center this Thursday caused a rush of firefighters and police to the hospital. Any flames were quickly doused, but flowing water necessitated a full response. Crews vacuumed up the water and police were investigating the incident.

Southern Oregon Man Arrested for Murder

Friday morning at 2:10 a.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department received a call to assist with a bleeding patient in the 6600 block of Pioneer Road, south of Medford. When authorities arrived, 34-year old Kristy Huddleston was found dead, and a search began for 43-year old Bourne Huddleston.Read More »
