Exhibit Will Feature Dock From Tsunami

Non-profits Team To Clean Tsunami Debris

Four nonprofit groups say they will team up to organize and coordinate Oregon volunteers working on tsunami debris. The World of Coos Bay reports the groups plan to create a data base of people who can monitor the Oregon coast, report debris accumulating and help in cleanup efforts.

Tsunami Dock Work Underway

Workers have started cutting up the giant Japanese dock that was torn away by last year's tsunami and washed up on an Oregon beach. Oregon Parks Department spokesman Chris Havel said Wednesday that workers for Ballard Diving and Salvage got their wire saw working and decided to just go ahead with the first cut, rather than wait for afternoon.
