The Jacksonville City Council, by a 5-1 vote, has approved the sale of 380 acres in the upper portion of the city's watershed to the Motorcycle Riders Association. As part of the deal, the group will transfer a 40-acre parcel adjacent to Forest Park to the city and pay $680,000.
Forest Park has been developed by the city in the lower watershed over the last six years.
