Intel plans to expand a $3 billion research factory under construction at its campus in Hillsboro. The Oregonian reported Wednesday the chipmaker plans a second module, attached to the building now under construction and due to open next year.
Intel said construction of the second phase will begin next year, and it will start production in 2015.
