Temporary Southbound Exit Off I-5 Opens Tuesday

A temporary Interstate 5 southbound off-ramp will open early Tuesday, July 1, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation at the Phoenix exit 24. This is the next step in the Fern Valley Interchange project. Motorists will want to be alert when using the temporary off-ramp. There will be a 20 miles per hour speed limit posted. Rumble strips will also be employed.

Work To Resume On I-5 Near Fern Valley Interchange

Weather To Delay Work On Interstate 5 Near Phoenix

Test Blasts For Fern Valley Interchange Project Start Today

Some test blasts will be going off today (Wednesday) and tomorrow at the site of the Fern Valley Road Interchange project. ODOT Project Manager Tim Fletcher says there won’t be any “Hollywood level” explosions, but people in the area may hear some popping noises, and a dust cloud or two. Bridge Replacement A Part of Improvement Package for Fern Valley Interchange

According to a report in the Medford Mail Tribune, the Jackson County Board of Commissioners has voted to accept over $3 million in federal bridge replacement funds. It would go to replace the bridge on Fern Valley Road, which passes over the Bear Creek Greenway in Phoenix. The new bridge would be better suited for commercial truck traffic, have defined bike lanes and sidewalks.Read More »
