Meals on Wheels volunteers Needed - Jackson County Sat 1st November - Sun 30th November The local Meals on Wheels program, Food and Friends, is looking for volunteers to help deliver meals to home-bound seniors in Medford, Central Point and Jacksonville. Food & Friends provides hot, nutritious meals and a friendly visit to hundreds of seniors in the area. Meals are served Monday - Friday between 10:00 am - noon. Mileage reimbursement is available.

Good News Club - Grants Pass Sun 16th November - Sun 4th January Parents whose children attend public elementary and middle schools in the Grants Pass area are invited to enroll their students in free character development classes called Good News Clubs. ACCESS Senior Shoebox Project - Rogue Valley Tue 18th November - Fri 5th December The annual ACCESS Senior Shoebox Project has kicked off and will be accepting wrapped shoeboxes filled with a variety of fun and usable items until December 5. The purpose of this project is to bring some good cheer to Jackson County seniors, people with disabilities or shut-ins during the holiday season. Sex Trafficking Documentary - Medford Thu 4th December A documentary film 'Sex and Money: A National Search for Human Worth', will be shown December 4, 6:30 pm at the Medford Branch Library, 205 S. Central. This film exposes the sex trafficking of minors in the U.S., a crime which takes place in the Rogue Valley. Nativity Festival - Grants Pass Fri 5th December The Grants Pass Community Nativity Festival will be held on Friday, December 5, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at 1969 Williams Hwy. Nativities from around the world will be displayed. The evening will also include local entertainment, a live nativity, children's reenactment of the nativity and other children's activities. Seating is limited and on a first-come basis.
