Both companies are hailing the acquisition of Evergreen Helicopters by Erickson Air Crane as a “win-win.” Erickson CEO Udo Reider says the move expands the company’s worldwide reach. Evergreen founder Delford Smith says the $250 million deal enables him to pay down the company’s $276 million debt.
Evergreen has a fleet of 64 aircraft and employees 400, including about 100 in McMinnville.
