Storms Bring New Snow to Mt. Ashland

THE STORMY WEATHER THIS WEEK IN SOUTHERN OREGON IS
BRINGING PLENTY OF NEW SNOW FOR SKIERS. AS OF LATE
TUESDAY, MOUNT ASHLAND HAD RECEIVED 12 INCHES OF THE
WHITE STUFF OVER A 24-HOUR PERIOD, AND NOW THE SNOW
DEPTH THAT RANGES FROM 76 INCH BASE, TO 107 AT THE TOP.
RICK SAUL SAYS THIS SETS THE STAGE POSSIBLY EXTENDED
THE SEASON FOR THREE OR FOUR DAYS PAST THE MOUNTAIN'S SCHEDULED CLOSING IN APRIL.HE SAYS THERE’S BEEN PLENTY OF “PENT UP” DEMAND AFTER A SLOW START TO THE SEASON.
