"Rolling Slowdowns" On I-5 in Medford Area Wednesday

According to a press release from the Oregon Department of Transportation, an emergency "rolling slowdown" is occurring today (Wednesday) on Interstate 5 in the Medford area, in the vicinity of Exit 25. The Exit 24 northbound on ramp will be temporarily closed, as well as the Exit 27 southbound on ramp. Motorists are advised to watch for congestion, and use alternate routes if possible. The estimated time of slow down will be 15-20 minutes.

Electrical crews are re-installing a downed power line spanning I-5 near mile post 25. The work is slated to start at around 9 a.m.
