Josephine County Sheriff's Department May Face Layoffs

Employees with the Josephine County Sheriff’s Department have been told that they may be facing layoffs if a levy fails in the upcoming may election. Sheriff Gil Gilbertson says that’s a “worst case scenario.” As many as 70 employees could be given pink slips, which would lower their work staffing from 98 to a total of 28 workers.
