Grant Awarded to Help Special Needs Families in Southern Oregon
Families for Community in Southern Oregon is one of three organizations receiving grant money from the Oregon Department of Human Services. $81,809 in funding is to help families raising children with developmental disabilities.
Emilie Sampson is executive director for Families for Community, and she says "This grant will enable us to begin to branch out into other counties in Southern Oregon and replicate this parent driven, peer-delivered model of support. We will provide family support groups, workshops and trainings, and expand our social network of families."
