Gold Hill Man Arrested on Drug, Theft Charges

MEDFORD POLICE GOT A LITTLE BIT MORE THAN THEY BARGAINED
IN EXECUTING A SEARCH WARRANT TUESDAY OF A GOLD HILL
MAN’S HOME ON SUSPECTED DRUG DISTRIBUTION CHARGES. NOT
ONLY DID THEY FIND THAT 33-YEAR OLD TOMMY JAMES LOFTIS
WAS IN POSSESSION OF METH, THERE WERE ALSO A NUMBER OF
STOLEN ITEMS IN HIS HOME- MOSTLY CONSTRUCTION AND
LANDSCAPING TOOLS. POLICE SUSPECT LOFTIS WAS TAKING THE
ITEMS IN EXCHANGE FOR DRUGS. LOFTIS IS LODGED IN JACKSON
COUNTY JAIL ON THEFT, BURGLARY AND CRIMINAL POSSESSION
OF METHAMPHETIMINE.
