Highway 199 Fatal Crash Victim Identified

Police identified today the man killed a Monday morning vehicle crash on Highway 199 at mile post seven near Grants Pass. 56-year old Todd Weinkauf of Cave Junction attempted to avoid a Dodge Ram van that had crossed over into his lane driven by David Hart. Hart’s vehicle and Weinkauf’s Ford Explorer collided side to side. Weinkauf was pronounced dead at the scene.Read More »

After 19 Months, Car Pulled From Rogue River

A car stuck for 19 months in the Rogue River was pulled out by helicopter this morning. Waterway Recovery planned the work with a Sikorsky helicopter owned by Croman Corporation. In March of 2011, a woman drove her Subaru Outback into the river at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a suicide attempt. She survived the crash.Read More »
