Two Men Jailed After Attempting to Elude Police

A Monday morning car chase has landed two men in jail. At 2:45 a.m., 22-year old Rodney Gorneau refused to stop for a Central Point Police officer after he attempted to pull over Gourneau for disobeying a stop sign. The pursuit began north of Central Point near the intersection of Kirtland and Highbanks roads. As it continued, spike strips were deployed to stop the GMC pick-up truck.Read More »

Police are looking for a fugitive who allegedly led sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase yesterday in the vicinity of Kirtland Road in Central Point. 21-year old Toby Alexander Martinez reportedly crashed a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta into a ditch in the 12000 block of Blackwell Road and fled on foot. Martinez has a warrant out for his arrest, and is a member of the Norteno gang.Read More »

Klamath Falls Man Arrested After Car Chase

A Klamath Falls area man was arrested Sunday after attempting to elude the Oregon State Police in a stolen vehicle on Highway 97. The incident ended when the driver crashed and then attempted to flee on foot. 43-year old Aaren M. Broderick Jr. Was caught about 300 feet from the Volkswagen Jetta he was driving, and is now lodged in Klamath County Jail.
