Medford police arrested a man accused of singlehandedly causing a dramatic spike in business burglaries.
Lt. Mike Budreau says 47-year-old Jerry McDonald is believed to be responsible for 11 burglaries that occurred between Nov. 21 and Dec. 6.
McDonald was arrested Dec. 7 on a warrant out of Montana and was charged in the burglaries on Wednesday, after detectives examined surveillance video and interviewed him.
He's been charged with burglary, attempted burglary, theft, criminal mischief and failure to register as a sex offender. Bail was set at nearly $400,000.
