Police are still piecing together details on an accident on Interstate 5 that killed a Medford man driving a commercial vehicle. Thursday at 11:40 a.m., 71-year old Bruce Merrill was heading north. For reasons unknown at this time, Merrill crossed over into southbound traffic at milepost 83, went through a ditch and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
