Authorities in Douglas County say they've identified a woman whose body was found last week in the South Umpqua River near the county fairgrounds. Body Found In Siskiyou County and Identified

Investigators are working to get to the bottom of what became of David Perry. The 69-year old’s body was found in the middle of Soap Creek Road in the Yreka area today. Sheriff Jon Lopey says he doesn’t think Perry’s death was a homicide. Deputies have taken photographs and gathered evidence from the scene. An autopsy is expected in the next few days.
