More Details Surface In Death of State Hospital Worker

More details are surfacing in the on the job death of an Oregon State Hospital employee who died Wednesday night. 36-year old Matthew Barron of Salem reportedly died of natural causes between 6 and 6:30p.m. An autopsy is pending. Barron is survived by a wife and 3 children. He had worked for nearly three years as a mental health security technician.Read More »

Fire Sprinkler Goes Off At RVMC

A fire sprinkler went off in the mental health unit at Rogue Valley Medical Center this Thursday caused a rush of firefighters and police to the hospital. Any flames were quickly doused, but flowing water necessitated a full response. Crews vacuumed up the water and police were investigating the incident.
