An Ashland man was taken into custody at 9:29 p.m. Thursday night on charges of encouraging child sex abuse. An investigation that started in August turned up child porn at the home of 29-year old Torin Eggers.

Two Rogue River residents were arrested Thursday on charges of burglary, taking a uniform and other military memorabilia from the family of a deceased World War II veteran. A Jackson County Sheriff’s SWAT team searched a home in the 100 block of Earhart Road, and many of the stolen items were recovered.

Oregon prison officials say an inmate released to transitional housing in Jackson County has walked away.
The Department of Corrections said 37-year-old Scott Bradley Wold checked out of his community housing on Nov. 20 and didn't report back.

A burglary suspect who escaped custody at Providence Medical Center in Medford last night was caught shortly after midnight. 22-year old Nathan Wallace faces a variety of charges including burglary, drug possession and resisting arrest.
