Fire Crew Rescuing Logger Who Fell 450 Feet

A logger who fell over 450 down an embankment near Hinkle Gulch is being rescued. The Applegate Fire Department, ODF and Jackson County Fire District 5 are working together to pull him to safety. The steep terrain is making for a "slow and steady" rescue effort. An Applegate Fire Department spokesman tells the Medford Mail Tribune that the logger is conscious and speaking with rescuers.
