Fire Outside Napa Auto Parts In Grants Pass

Grants Pass police discovered a fire just after 1 a.m. this morning on Southeast 7th street, at the southeast corner of the Napa Auto Parts store. Industrial Fire Precaution Level Raised

Students In Need Get Back to School Shopping Help

28 local students did their back-to-school shopping today with help from the Medford Target store and the Salvation Army. Nationwide, the two will help some 12-thousand students.

Each child was given an $80 Target gift card for school supplies- including back packs, calculators, pens and pencils, and more. Local police and fire personnel served as volunteer chaperones.

Medford Woman Dies In Car Accident

A 33-year old Medford woman died late Tuesday night in a high speed car crash near Talent. Jamie Walls driving on Pioneer Road in a car carrying two passengers- Andrew Gilman and Kendal Wheeler- when she lost control of the car, left the road, went through a fence and then rolled into a Talent Irrigation District canal. Walls was pronounced dead at the scene.Read More »

Medford Airport Has Record Month

The Jackson County Airport experienced a record month for air travelers during the month of July. 66,388 traveled through the airport last month, eclipsing by nearly 2,000 the mark of 64,811 in July, 2010. Director Bern Case says he also expects a strong August.


"Rain Man" Reports To Jail

A man charged with collecting rain for three fire ponds in defiance of court orders reported to Jackson County Jail this morning to serve a 30-day sentence. Gary Harrington has been fighting the courts for over a decade for collecting the water without a permit. Harrington vows to fight and take the battle to the supreme court.Read More »
