Explosion, Fire At Ashland Business

Ashland firefighters responded this morning to the report of an explosion and fire and Alchemical Solutions on Benson Way. Neighboring businesses needed to be evacuate. Nearby Crowson Road needed to be closed off for a period of time. The business is a distiller of organic high-proof alcohol. Southeastern Oregon Wildfire Update

A southeast Oregon wildfire has spread to nearly 250 square miles on Friday and continued to threaten homes near Harney Lake. A fire management team spokeswoman says crews have brought three helicopters to help battle the blaze that began Sunday on grass and sagebrush.
