Coos Bay Gunman's Motive Unclear

Coos Bay police say they'll probably never know what a 41-year-old man was planning at a motel last weekend with an AR-15 assault rifle, a handgun and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
The police say Michael Ames of Coos Bay killed himself with a
9mm handgun Sunday and was dead in his room for much of what

At 3 p.m. this afternoon Civil Air Patrol reported finding a plane crash scene near Plush, Oregon. Authorities confirm the number on the aircraft matched that of the missing plane flown last week by 48-year old Tony Nicholls of Meridian, Idaho. The pilot was discovered deceased.Read More »
