Gas Prices Fall By An Average of 15 Cents In Oregon in 1 Week

You may recall an earlier report of a record number of travelers this holiday season. One of the reasons is lower gas prices. The latest survey by AAA Oregon/Idaho shows that the average price of a gallon of unleaded regular in Oregon has fallen 15 cents to $2.77. That’s a five-year low. In southern Oregon, the average is a little lower at $2.75. Nationally, the average is $2.53.

Traveling over the river and through the woods will be a little more affordable this Thanksgiving. The national average for unleaded is $2.88 a gallon, according to Triple-A. In Oregon, the average is $3.07, the lowest price for this time of year since 2009. In southern Oregon, the average continues to hover around $2.99, which is 34 cents cheaper than a month ago.
