Median Sales Price Increase For Jackson County Homes

The latest report from the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors shows local home prices on the rise. The median price in the most recent rolling quarter  was $149-thousand dollars, a 4.9 percent increase over the last year. The county is broken up into 11 areas in their reporting, and 9 of them reported an increase in sale price.
The report also indicated an 11 percent increase in existing home sales with 523 transactions and 30 percent fewer homes on the market.
40 percent of the homes sold were bank-owned properties, normal transactions accounted for 39 percent of existing home sales, and almost 20 percent were short sales.
